How to choose your Breathing Air station ?

Choose the right product for your needs:

BREATHING AIR ANALYSERS (VAR) analysers have been designed and manufactured by ASCO INSTRUMENTS for over 20 years.  This area allows you to select the features required for your project and guide you towards the right analyser....

Designed according to strict specifications and EN 12021 standards, these analysers are automated, robust and reliable, with ergonomics designed with field operators in mind. These analysers are available in a reinforced transportable case, a fixed wall-mounted box or a 19" wall-mounted cabinet.

The models are listed below by increasing capacity and number of functions.

Hora 130x

A beacon for asbestos removal sites.

The HORA 130x was designed for construction sites and asbestos removal operations to comply with the 2013 decree on breathing air on asbestos removal.

It is now a benchmark product, with several thousand units sold. The beacon comes in a special reinforced plastic case, which can be carried by a handle.

The HORA 130x measures 5 values: CO / CO2 / VOC (oil vapours or airborne particles in the network) and HYGROMETRY with a dew point at -40°C.

Mobile and very robust, it travels perfectly on your worksites and can be installed anywhere or near the compressor or with the technicians' air supply system.

Control options: NO/NC dry contact, audible and visual electro-pneumatic alarm.

Typical applications: asbestos removal, deconstruction, small paint booths (cars) or shot blasting.

NanoVAR 350 (2023)

Analyser for 2 continuous measurements

The latest addition to the AIR RESPIRABLE range, the NanoVAR is a small-scale analyser designed for specific AIR RESPIRABLE measurement applications (partial EN12021 standard).

Examples of modularity according to use :

  •     CO-CO2: Continuous recording and analysis of toxic gases in the network,
  •     CO-H2O: (-40°C): Humidity monitoring and presence of CO from decomposition or fermentation (Wine/Food),
  •     O2-CO2: Continuous recording and analysis of toxic gases for a process of cold conservation of living or biological materials,
  •     CO-COV: Risk of intoxication in paint spraying processes,
  •     H2O-COV: Humidity management for risk of mould and material dust,

Possible controls : NO/NC dry contact, audible and visual alarm, ventilation, solenoid valve.....

Types of application : Fertility institutes, ageing cellars, clinics and hospitals, food preservation, drying of materials.

MicroVAR 350 & MicroVAR 350-EC

These 2 instruments belong to the same family and are supplied in 2 different formats. They are both designed to analyse the quality of networked compressed breathing air with a dew point of up to -60°C.

  •     MURAL model in metal case / MicroVAR 350-EC

Use and main functions: continuous monitoring and recording, alarm or BMS control of air quality in paint booths, shot-blasting booths, breathing air production unit, air supply network when dismantling a building.

Control options: NO/NC dry contact, audible and visual alarm, ventilation, solenoid valve, etc.
Types of application : Fertility institutes, ageing cellars, clinics and hospitals, food preservation, drying of materials.

  •     TRANSPORTABLE model / MicroVAR 350

Use and main functions: control by tapping into a compressed air network (<10bar) on breathing air production lines, continuous control at several points and/or over a given period, verification of air supply points, regulatory periodic control prior to inspection.

------------

VAR 18 et VAR 18 SPE

These 2 instruments belong to the same family and are supplied in 2 different formats. They are both designed to analyse the quality of compressed breathing air in networks with a dew point of up to -80°C.

Special feature: designed for networks with a dew point of up to -80°C.

  •         Metal case or cabinet + 19'' rack / VAR 18 : air quality control in industrial process cabins, nuclear power stations, research sites, mobile production, skid with control over emergency cylinders, RESPIRABLE AIR SKID, multipoint breathing air production unit, air supply on dismantling of a building.
  •         Suitcase / VAR 18-VAR18 SPE: control of breathing air production lines, continuous control on several points and/or over a given period, verification of air supply points, regulatory periodic control before inspection, spot checks, regulatory inspections for control offices, breathing air control with dust measurement sensor (SPE). Equipment for nuclear atmospheres, chemical atmospheres with contaminant risks or polluted atmospheres, which cannot be outsourced and require critical on-site maintenance.

  • OPTION AIR TRACKER for CYLINDERS - HIGH PRESSURE 300 bar.

AIR TRACKER / VAR18 : Breathing air analyser with cylinder filling traceability management.

Asco has developed the AIR TRACKER, a system for analysing air quality in cylinders. Comprising a VAR18 type analyser and a cylinder filling and serial number management module, AIR TRACKER is a complete control and monitoring system.

Used by firefighters and security teams in a wide range of environments (industrial, military, airports, ships, etc.), this system ensures complete control of the air contained in a cylinder, the validity of its filling and its lifespan by tracking its serial number (bar code / RFID).
